Download Defying the Predictable here…The Journalist mixtape review below…

Defying the Predictable defies all industry rules, because it is conscious soul with introspective inquisitive raps.

At no point does the mixtape lose fluidity from “Defying the Predictable” to “Raindrops,” two under appreciated, under rated, and under mentioned forces in Rap and R&B collide two worlds, creating beautiful chaos.

Simply, Joell Ortiz and Novel are a great tandem, as if Nas and Lauryn Hill decided “If I Ruled the World” was not enough. Defying the Predictable is a mixtape grounded in food for thought, rather than beef. And for that this mixtape truly defines what a classic album should sound like– timeless.

The Journalist gives Defying the Predictable no grade… CLASSIC
